Leaves are hand picked from Mahalderam garden, packed securely in gunny bags and transported 3 kms in only 6 minutes via a steel cable from 6000 feet and over dense jungle to the Jungpana factory at 3000 feet.

The estate relies on experience of touch and smell during withering and oxidation processes and expertise of specially trained women when sorting to ensure only quality teas go through for packing.
